Ian Hay
President, SouthEast Emergency Response Network (SEERN)

Following the tragic events of 9/11, Ian Hay felt compelled to make a direct impact in the security of his 'new' home state of Georgia.  Since that fateful day, he has led numerous efforts to build trusted networks between the public and private sectors, including a number of high-profile National Special Security Events (NSSE's), as well as the response efforts for Hurricane Katrina.

Shortly after the G8 summit, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched an information sharing pilot branded as the SouthEast Emergency Response Network (SEERN). Under Hay's leadership, the newly established non-profit continues to expand and share best practices in the fields of information sharing, domestic security and emergency management.
